How do I place an order?

To place an order, add the items you wish to purchase to your shopping cart. To add an item into the shopping cart, simply click on the add to cart link in the category listings. On the individual product page, enter the qty you wish to purchase, and click on the Add to Cart button. You may change quantities in the shopping cart by entering the desired quantity, and clicking the Edit button. To remove an item, click on the Delete link next to the product. When you are ready to complete your order, click on the Checkout button.

Is it safe shopping online?

We keep all your information private and secure. All orders are placed through our secure server. And we will not release any of your private information to any third party.

What are your payment options?

We accept all payments through PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can pay with any major credit card. If you have a PayPal account linked to your bank account, you can also pay using that. If you prefer to mail in your order using a money order, please contact us to arrange for payment.

Is there any sales tax?

There is no sales tax on tea. Tea ware items are subject to 5% GST for non HST Provinces in Canada, 13% HST for Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland, 12% HST in British Columbia, and 15% HST in Nova Scotia.

What are your shipping rates?

Our shipping rates are very reasonable. You can view the details of our shipping rates on our Shipping Page

Do you ship to (insert international destination here)?

We currently only ship to Canada and the USA. Please note that we do NOT ship to any US territories.

Shipping rates are automatically calculated in checkout based on weight and distance.

Please email us if there are additional questions about international packages.

How do I send a gift to another address?

To send to a different address, simply enter a different shipping address in the shipping address section of checkout and enter the gift recipient's address. If it is a gift, and you do not want a packing slip or supplementary materials included, select "yes" next to the "Is this a gift" option on checkout.

I need to ship these to two different addresses. Can I combine them into one order to save on shipping?

Unfortunately, shipping is charged per package, so all orders going to a separate address must be placed separately and shipping must be charged for each one.

We will ship all orders to Alaska and Hawaii.

We currently ship to all Armed Forces addresses.

I don't like ordering online. Can I order by phone or pay by check/money order?

You can call your order into us between the hours of 9am and 5pm Eastern Time by dialing 519-599-6034. If you are long distance, and would prefer us to call you, you can place your order online and select the "Callback" method of payment, and enter in your phone number and a good time to call you back at, and we will be glad to call you to complete your order.

How do I track my package?

Once the order has been shipped, you will automatically receive an email from us notifying you that your package was shipped. If you have selected a method of shipping with tracking, you will also receive that tracking information. To view the status of your order, visit our Order Status page.

I didn't receive a email confirming my order -- did you get it?

Chances are if you completed your order, then we did receive it. There are many reasons why you may not receive an email of your order. You may have mistakenly entered in your email address wrong, or the email may have been caught by any spam filters you may have on, or it may have become "lost" in transit through the internet. If you are unsure if your order has been received, you can call us at 519-599-6034 or email and we can confirm if your order has been received.

It says 'Order Processing' when I view my order status -- can I still cancel?

Unfortunately, we may not cancel it at this point. Your order has at this point been processed and already packaged for shipping.

I received my order, but something was damaged. How do I get a replacement?

This is a rare occurrence, as we take every effort to ensure that your items are packaged properly to avoid shipping damage. In the event that there is damage to an item in your order, please email us with your order number and which of the pieces is damaged. We will contact you right away to arrange for a replacement.

There appears to be a billing problem with my order... how can I handle this?

How do I return an order?

We want to ensure that you are fully satisfied with all items that you have ordered. We will happily accept back all unused and unopened items within 30 days of receipt. How do I keep my tea fresh?

Tea never really goes bad, but over time will lose some of its flavor.

Tea is best kept fresh by putting in a dark and dry, sealed in a closed container until using (and, after opened, kept as close to sealed as possible). This should keep the tea fresh up to one year (a little less for green and white teas). We do not recommend putting in the freezer, in that it will add moisture to the tea leaves, greatly reducing the flavor.

TeaFrog blended teas are blended in Canada, and as such, last longer than most other teas. The vast majority of tea blends are mixed overseas, and then spend four to six months in transit before they get to the seller. Our teas have been freshly prepared for your enjoyment without the time in transit that can tend to dull the flavors of mixed teas.

Can I get a free sample?

Unfortunately we cannot give out free samples over the internet. The cost of shipping and packaging is just too prohibitive. However, we do have sample packs of many of our teas at very reasonable prices. You can order them from the Sample Packs page.

I can't find a certain tea on your site, do you carry XXXXX tea?

We may not currently carry the exact type of tea that you are looking for. We do however have many different kinds of teas available that are not all listed on our website. You can call us at 519-599-6034 or email to find out if we carry a specific tea that you do not see on the website.

Are your teas organic?

While some of our teas are organic, most are not. This is simply due to the fact there are few plantations currently certified as bio-organic facilities. As we discover new organic plantations of a high enough quality for TeaFrog, we will introduce them.

Are your teas Fair Trade?

There is only a handful of Fair Trade tea estates in the world. So few, in fact, that anything that they put their name on is exponentially more expensive for what is generally lower quality.

While we support Fair Trade, we also have very high standards in the quality of our teas. As higher quality Fair Trade tea becomes available, we will introduce them.
